A source of great international consternation within the footwear industry, is the fact that there is no standard shoe size system.
Your new pair or running shoes will inevitably have three separate sizings on the original packing box, representing the three global sizing systems; UK, American and Continental. Although metrology and reliable measurements have been in existence for approximately 200 years, the concept of the shoe sizing system is relatively recent.
