Dr. Christian Barton has a fantastic blog on all things patellofemoral at http://patellofemoral.completesportscare.com.au/ He has very kindly allowed me to reproduce this video of him taping.. his own leg no less.. for patellofemoral pain.

Articles

Christian's physio colleague, Jenny McConnell pioneered this technique many years ago, and she has taught it all over the world. It is important to understand that assessment prior to taping is the backbone of the taping technique.

Podcast on running footwear

For those that missed it, I did a radio interview with Amanda Smith from the ABC's Radio National "Body Sphere" which went to air on the weekend. It might be worth a listen, because unbeknownst to me, her other guests were "barefoot" running coach Lee Saxby, and the founder of that serial misrepresenter of running shoe science, vibrobarefoot!

Articles

Galahad (damn I wish my parents had had the forsight to give me a handle like that!!) Clark.. yes from the Clark footwear family, is a guest on this show as well. He is the founder of vibrobarefoot, a company which perhaps more than any other has misrepresented the literature published on running and running footwear.

My friend and colleague, and star BB member Frances, asked me to post something of an update on orthotic therapy. A good move, because a lot has changed in the past few years.

Articles

Initially I thought I would launch into this myself, but across my desk this week were not one, but 3 articles from my mate Dr. Kevin Kirby.
